How long have you been breeding Dachshunds?

We began Dreamheart Dachshunds in 2015! However, I spent many years prior studying the breed standard, traveling to dog shows and learning the process of breeding. I dedicated years to learn the ins and outs of this industry to provide the most spectacular puppies for families like yours. I love Dachshunds and I am blessed everyday to be continuing our program for many years to come.

Are your dogs & puppies registered?

Yes! All of our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC)
We are also a Bred with H.E.A.R.T. Breeder. Pedigrees are available on request.

When do you have puppies throughout the year?

Our females have a schedule where they are going into heat usually every six to eight months. This does not mean we will breed every heat. Each female is evaluated before a breeding takes place. Usually we have a Spring/Summer season and a Fall/Winter season. Follow our Facebook page to stay connected with us and our dogs.

Chocolate & Cream: 3,000

How can I join the waitlist?

Please contact us, and we will email you a link to complete our Puppy Application. Once submitted, you will be contacted upon your approval status. Once approved you may move forward with our Deposit process and we will send you the information through email or text.

Do you ask for a deposit to join the waitlist?

Accepted Answer

When you are placed on our waitlist, we require a deposit of at least $500.00. (Deposit amounts may vary based on individual circumstances. This deposit goes towards the full price of your puppy. This allows us to ensure the care and expenses are taken care of for your puppy and our dogs before pickup at 8 weeks. We do not refund deposits of any amount. We do this because we only accept serious inquiries, so please understand our terms before you submit a deposit of any amount.

How can I reserve a puppy available now?

To reserve a puppy already born and available, we ask 50% of the total price be paid to reserve your puppy. The remainder may be paid with cash only at pickup.

Do you have a Health Guarantee?

Yes we most DEFINITELY offer a health guarantee. It is important for us to not only produce top quality dachshunds but also healthy dachshunds. All puppies are guaranteed for two years for any congenital disease. If death should occur suddenly, a notarized veterinarian report from a full autopsy, stating from a medical certainty that the death was caused from a prenatal state will be required, at the expense of the Buyer. Breeder's vet must agree and confirm the diagnosis. A replacement puppy of equal value and same gender will be given to the Buyer from the next available litter. This guarantee does not cover diseases that vaccinations could prevent.

Can we visit your dogs?

For the safety of our puppies and our family, we do not allow in-person visits. We take every precaution to ensure our puppies remain healthy and secure until they are ready to go to their new homes. We love to video you and send all the pictures to ensure you can see our puppies grow!

Can I choose my puppy in person?

For the health and safety of our puppies, our dogs, and our family, we do not offer in-person puppy visits prior to pickup day. Young puppies are especially vulnerable while their immune systems are still developing, and limiting outside visitors helps us maintain a safe, clean, and low-stress environment for every litter.We completely understand how important it is to feel confident when choosing your new family member! We are happy to provide personalized videos, photos, video calls, and updates so you can see each puppy’s personality, temperament, coloring, and development. We’ll work closely with you throughout the selection process to help you choose the puppy that feels like the perfect fit for your family.Your trust means so much to us, and the health, safety, and well-being of our puppies will always be our highest priority.

What age can my puppy come home?

We will evaluate each puppy as it progresses and develops. Most puppies are thriving on solid food and water at 8 weeks. If a puppy needs more time to develop we ask for your patience however most puppies are ready to go at 8 weeks.

Can you hold our puppy after Pickup Date?

We absolutely can. We just ask a boarding fee of $25 per day.

What is included with my puppy?

We want you to have all the goodies for your sweet puppy when you go home! Of course we always provide the shots needed for their current age while they are in our care. We also provide a Health Certificate from our local vet during their initial exam. We provide a 2 yeah Health Guarantee with their AKC Registration Paperwork. Then we provide flea and tick prevention, deworming, and a goodie bag filled with all kinds of puppy necessities such as collar, keepsake bowl, blanket or cozy bed, nail clippers, pet waste dispenser, treats, & puppy toys. Along with all of these goodies, your puppy will be properly socialized and loved beyond measure from the Dreamheart Family!

What do I need for my new puppy?

Puppies are just like newborn babies. They need ample amount of attention, proper home living conditions, and of course many different supplies such as, toys, feeding bowls, pee pads pads or what we love using, reusable and machine washable pads, a crate, pen, and more! What do you feed your puppies?

We feed  DIAMOND NATURALS ALL LIFE STAGES.Give your new puppy the essential nutrients needed to develop strong bones and muscles. This nutrient-rich recipe contains vitamins and minerals from vegetables and superfoods, energy-rich carbohydrates, and antioxidants to support immune health. It also features omega fatty acids for skin and coat health.

What payment method is accepted?

For waitlist deposits and reserving puppy deposits, we accept Cash, Check, Venmo, Paypal, Cashapp, or Zelle. We will send you our payment information when you receive your Deposit Form. 
We do not accept online payment methods for remaining balances after the puppy is 6 weeks of age. You may pay Cash at pickup if you do not want to pay the remaining balance at 6 weeks before pickup.

How can we donate to your program?

We appreciate any donation of supplies to our dogs and puppies! We have our own Wishlist at Amazon HERE. When your donation arrives we will contact you and send you a special thank you! All donations and gifts are greatly appreciated.

Do you deliver your puppies?

Accepted Answer

We are happy to deliver within one hour from our home. Due to our busy household we are unable to leave for long periods of time. We are thankful for your understanding!

When can I expect to hear back from you?

It is very important to us to reply in a timely manner. We are usually available  by phone Monday - Friday from 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Please send us a message through email or text and leave your phone number and we will call you as soon as possible. We are typically unavailable during the mornings and weekends as we are spending time with our puppies and family. However we may reply when we get a free moment. Your messages are very important to us, if it’s been more than 2 days since you contacted us feel free to reach out again.

Do you ship your puppies?

We do not. Simply because the travel on a plane can be extremely stressful and sometimes unsafe. We ask that you drive to pick your puppy or you can fly and pick up as well. I am always available to help find the best hotel and accommodations for your trip.

What is the procedure for Pickup?

Puppy Pickup & Final Payment PolicyTo ensure a smooth and reliable pickup experience for every family, the following payment policy applies to all puppy pickups.Final Payment Due at PickupCash is the only accepted form of payment at the time of puppy pickup.We do not accept the following payment methods at pickup:VenmoZellePayPalBank transfersOther online or electronic payment methodsThis policy is in place because online and electronic payments can experience unpredictable processing times, delays, holds, or verification issues. We cannot release a puppy based on a payment that has not been fully received and verified.Online Payments Before TravelIf you need to make your final payment electronically before traveling to pick up your puppy, online payment may be arranged up to two (2) weeks prior to your scheduled pickup date.Any online payment must be fully received and verified before the puppy can be released.Payment Must Be Complete Before the Puppy Is ReleasedThe entire remaining balance must be paid in full before the puppy leaves our care.If the buyer arrives for pickup and is unable to provide the required final payment in cash, and the balance has not been previously paid and verified:The puppy will not be released to the buyer.The scheduled pickup will be considered unsuccessful.All payments previously made toward the puppy will be forfeited and will not be refunded.The puppy will remain in our care until further arrangements are made, at the seller's discretion.
